Venue Change!

Venue Change!

The Field Expedition: A Walk in the Parks exhibition will now be hosted in the auditorium of the Science Center on the SAU campus. Here, you will have the opportunity to see some of the classrooms and laboratory spaces where our science students are learning, in one of the newer SAU buildings. There is ample parking in from the of the building and we will have some of our regional fossils on exhibit for you to see. Please join us for refreshments from 6-6:30pm, with the documentary presentations starting at 6:30. My apologies for the last-minute change, but this really will enhance the viewing experience!

If you have already notified me that you cannot attend, please disregard this message. If you will be bringing guests, we are happy to reserve seats for our donors and their guests together if you tell me how many you will need. Many thanks, and I hope to see you Friday evening.

Sincerely,

Kate Sheehan, PhD

Thank you to our project donors!

May 22, 2018

Good morning from SAU!

The Field Expedition course (A Walk Through the Parks) has just returned from our trip visiting three national parks: Guadalupe Mountains, TX, Carlsbad Caverns, NM, and Big Bend, TX.

Our students experienced a lot of new and eye-opening natural wonders while in the field, and they would like to share their interpretations of the expedition with you. We will be having a public presentation of the class projects this Friday, May 25th at 6:30pm in the Harton Theater on SAU campus (see attached map).

Doors will open at 6pm with light refreshments available. The presentations will begin at 6:30pm, with a question & answer session to follow. We expect to wrap up just after 7:30pm.

All donors will have priority seating in the theater with a thank-you gift at your seat. If you cannot attend, please let me know (klsheehan@saumag.edu) and we will mail your gift to you.

I hope you can attend, we certainly appreciate your support for the initiation of this course, and hope you will consider supporting future trips to our national parks.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kate Lyn Sheehan
