We are the 2016-17 Southern Arkansas University Women's Basketball team and we are working on a project to help generate financial support for our program. Our players spend many long hours preparing to be our best, and we need your help to take our program to the next level. We appreciate any support you can give and want to thank you in advance for investing in our team of hard-working young ladies! Your support will contribute towards a variety of areas for our program including equipment, team gear, digital video equipment, and team travel.
Our Women’s Basketball program is made up of 17 players from Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Italy, and Brazil. Leading the Lady Muleriders is Coach Julio Pacheco, who is in his second year as head coach. Coach Pacheco accomplished a school record of 19 wins last season and leads a program characterized by enthusiasm and passion. He has instilled a championship mentality into his players. With hard work and dedication, the goal of this year’s Lady Mulerider Basketball program is a Great American Conference Championship.
The impact of your financial support is limitless. Southern Arkansas University Athletics is a huge part of the community of Magnolia and with your help, we can continue to advance and improve our basketball program. There have already been several improvements across our athletic department, including upgrades in facilities and various renovations. The key to our success as a Women’s Basketball Program is to have the support of our students, campus, alumni, and community. We are always looking for a way to better ourselves, our program, and our close-knit relationship with our student body and community.
